Having grown up in a community of Holocaust survivors, I grew up surrounded by loss—which made death my nemesis and the spark that launched a journey of transformation across vastly different worlds: East and West, spiritual and social, personal and collective.
My journey took me from mystical experiences in India, to explorations bridging sexuality and spirituality, to facilitating dialogues between opposing groups in post-Apartheid South Africa.
As an author and facilitator, I explore how the search for meaning and belonging—sparked by loss—can lead to profound transformation and unexpected reconciliation, not only with the living but also with the dead.
My writing weaves together spiritual and sexual awakening, shadow and social identity, and the transmutation of ancestral trauma into sources of healing and new possibility.
In my journey I explore themes of loss and the search for meaning, belonging and selfhood; spiritual and sexual awakening; shadow and social identity; the transformation of interwoven ancestral and personal trauma legacies, and the (often surprising) possibilities for healing and reconciliation this may reveal with the living as well as the dead.
